The machines Fill & Clip and Fold Fill & Clip are machines used for production of ice cream sausages. The “sausage” is, of course, an association, facilitating understanding the character of the product, which is a both sides clipped sleeve tightly filled with ice cream.

In case of Fill & Clip, the ice cream is fed to the machine equipped with automatic by-pass valve. The packaging material in the form of ready-made, wrinkled sleeve (total length 20-25 meters) is fitted on working extruder. When the sleeve ends, Fill & Clip automatically switches to the other extruder, which overtakes the work, already having the next sleeve on.

The basic difference between Fill & Clip and Fold Fill & Clip is the form of the packaging material. In Fill & Clip it’s a ready-made sleeve, while in the Fold Fill & Clip it’s reel foil, which will be sealed longitudinally by the machine. For better understanding: in Ice Group machinery range there is Rapid, which performs exactly the same, but wrapping a ready product, while in case of Fold Fill & Clip, the ice cream mass fed through a by-pass valve has direct contact with the packaging material, filling it entirely. Moreover in Rapid the packaging is closed and transversely sealed, Fold Fill & Clip closes the sleeve with usually metal clips.

The moving system of the clipsator module, pneumatic in case of Fill & Clip, has been upgraded in Fold Fill & Clip with a servomotor. Use of servodrive allows more fluent movement, which results in higher sausage standardization and possibility to adjust its length. Reel foil also facilitates date printing on the product.
