A series of wrapping machines of high technical advancement level, built with use of the servo technology. Rapid is designed for work with any thermosealable film unrolled from a reel, sealed longitudinally and transversely, in order to create packaging securing the product. Typical examples of packed ice creams are sticks, sandwiches, candy bars etc. Rapid is also produced in special version for longitudinal ice cream cakes (logs).
The sequence of Rapid’s operations is as follows: the packed product is supplied to the chain conveyor manually or automatically from pocketed conveyor or other automatic device. In case of the Direct-Drop version, the product is dropped directly onto the band of packaging material. Then it is directed towards the film forming station in order to put the product in a “tunnel” created by such folding box. The next operation, after longitudinal sealing is transverse sealing with simultaneous cutting off the packaging material portion, in accordance with the given length. At that time, the product, remaining inside this “tunnel”, is in result closed in it. Then it goes to the out-feed conveyor.
